Maintenance: Hypervisors / CVE-2026-53359 Mitigation

Following our previous security update regarding Januscape / CVE-2026-53359, we have to announce maintenance work at short notice as part of our ongoing mitigation.

During the maintenance period, we will process each hypervisor one after another and restart or migrate the affected virtual machines. Each virtual machine is expected to be restarted or migrated only once.

The expected downtime per virtual machine is approximately two minutes. Please note that virtual machines using encrypted volumes may require manual key entry after a restart.

This mitigation is independent of Ubuntu kernel updates and represents a further mitigation step. Additional maintenance windows may become necessary, but cannot be ruled out at this time.
