Dear Customers,
We would like to inform you about a recent issue that affected the automatic creation and rotation of snapshots and instance backups.
Due to storage-related problems last week, the process responsible for creating these backups was unintentionally stuck in a loop. As a result, no new snapshots or instance backups were automatically generated or rotated during that period. Our monitoring system only verified that the program was running, not that it was functioning correctly, which prevented earlier detection of the issue.
The root cause has now been identified and resolved. Snapshots and instance backups were successfully created again during last night’s backup window, and all systems have returned to normal operation.
To prevent similar incidents in the future, we have improved our monitoring to ensure that such script failures will be promptly detected and addressed.
Please note that air-gapped backups and volume backups were not affected by this issue.
